Julius Friedman "Eighty Eight Shades of Blue" poster
This is the poster for our concert at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Oct. 23, 2010. It was conceived and designed by Julius Friedman and photographed by Geoff Carr, both card carrying members of the Tin Can Buddha art collective.
We approached Julius about designing the imagery for our show at the Kentucky Center. A week later we asked what he had in mind, he said "I want to burn a piano!" Now that moment has been immortalized in this beautiful art poster on heavy stock, 22" x 36".
This is not a photoshopped, it's a high respolution photo of a piano with 10' flames shooting out of it. A fitting image for the show which featured Harry Pickens, Caroline Dahl, Lee Carroll and Joe Turley on pianos.
